Cynara is a Toronto-based queer, disabled, single mother, cultural worker, artist, and educator.

She has played a pivotal role in addressing the gap in representation of the Latin-American media arts in Canada through her work as a co-founder of Canada's first Latin-American film festival and as a long-serving board member for various artist-run centres.
Mrs Rozo-Perdomo establishes the curatorial and artistic direction of the annual festival and oversees all aspects of its programming. I specialize in contemporary media art by people of colour. I review all submissions, conduct independent research to identify and solicit works and select and frame the works being shown. It's my goal to offer a platform for the exhibition of independent media art that aspires to elevate conversations between artists, scholars, and the public about the politics of the moving image.
